GBV VICTIM OFFENDER MEDIATION

This is the culmination of Social Behaviour Change Programme. This platform assists the perpetrators to be able to account directly to the victim even after they have been sentenced for the crimes committed against victims. The reason for this is that perpetrators often plead “NotGuilty” during the plea hearing in Court and consequently sentenced whilst denying. This adds trauma to the victims and prolonged bitterness that could impede their therapeutic process, however, having gone through Social Behaviour Change Programme the perpetrators become ready to account before their victims, and this helps the victims to find closure and heal.
